On 30.12.17, a report was published which sought to cover as much as possible the past and present reality of Café Luso. This report appeared in the newspaper O Corvo, which is distinguished from others by being an online publication of general information, focusing on the current situation of the city of Lisbon.

We are talking about an event last Saturday, the musical meeting between the American Queen of Pop, Madona, and one of the current great ladies of Fado, the popular urban song, Celeste Rodrigues.

For these days when she chose Lisbon to live, it is the second time that Madonna seeks the essence of Fado in a House of Fados.

What they played together used a musical territory that they both share. They sang together a song from the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley (Can not Help Falling In Love).

The fado singer Celeste Rodrigues performs every Friday and Saturday at Café Luso, Bairro Alto.
