EVOCATION OF MANUEL SIMÕES, DISCOGRAPHIC EDITOR, BY THE FADO MUSEUM
Manuel Simões born 100 years ago, a businessman who bet on Portugal and always dreamed of taking Portuguese music and culture, namely fado, further.
He founded the Estoril label, created the Iberian record factory, opened the Discotheque of Carmo, a reference in the disc trade, and in 2001 he founded the Foundation with his name “so that fado is increasingly a national reference” with the Portuguese And foreigners, emphasizing that “fado is a treasure of our culture”.
Participating David Ferreira, Luis de Castro and Rosa Amélia Piegudo, moderation of Nuno Lopes.
There will be Fado sung by Anita Guerreiro, accompanied by António Parreira and Guilherme Carvalhais.
