    In the past few months we have all been experiencing enormous challenges. Personal and professional life as we know it has completely changed. Confined, we went beyond our personal and professional challenges with which we faced each day.

    Social responsibility and concern for Employees, Partners and Clients is in the genesis of Fado & Food Group. It has always been our motto, being even more reinforced over these months.

    In a first phase, and to guarantee the safety of all our Employees and Clients, we decided – even before the legal obligation – to close all our units and services. This decision was very well received by all the Partners, to whom we take the opportunity to thank the support they gave us.

    Our units were (and still are) closed, but we have, as always, fulfilled our obligations and contracts with all Partners. We also did it, of course, with all our employees.

    Now is time to move forward, to reopen, safely, one by one, all Fado & Food Group units. We decided to start with Clube de Fado, which (re)opens its doors on the 3rd of June.

    A reopening keeping all the safety standards of the past, reinforced with the new recommendations by the official entities and sector associations, so that all the Clients that visit us feel safe and enjoy our passion for Fado and Portuguese Gastronomy.

    We have a new procedures manual, as well as the Clean & Safe seal from Turismo de Portugal in our units, which we will be happy to share with all Partners and Clients, but above all, we know that we have your confidence in our work, and in the safe way we receive all those who visit us.

    Dear All,

    Due to the fact that we are facing an emergency situation that threatens public health, the Fado & Food Group decided to close from March 16, all its establishments, Adega Machado, Café Luso, Clube de Fado, Timpanas.

    A first contingency plan had been activated, but the worsening of the spread of the virus forced a new balance between risks and losses that led to the difficult decision now communicated.

    We must look after the health of the many employees at Fado & Food Group and their families.

    At the same time, with this drastic resolution, we assume the responsibility to protect the integrity of the hundreds of Clients who visit our establishments daily.

    The Fado & Food Group follows closely and respects the developments related to Coronavirus / COVID-19, namely the recommendations of the Government, and Health authorities.

    The Fado & Food Group comprises establishments that have survived several troubled periods in national and world history. The difficulties of this episode that we are going through will add another page to the certainty that our cultural roots are much deeper than any evil that afflicts us.

    This pandemic also alerts us to the importance of investing more in our daily hygiene and safety practices.

    As soon as we reopen the doors, we will have learned something more, the Fado & Food Group will be even more demanding and exemplary in reconciling its responsibilities to preserve memories, historical identities, and the Future that is announced each day.

    Our Mission will continue.

    Considered by many to be the most significant tourism industry fair, ITB (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin), which opens between 4 and 8 March 2020, catalyzes global operators and suppliers in the global market.

    For the first time, the Fado & Food Group (2012) is represented with its own stand, a strong and clear bet that aims to show the multiple agents the importance of its exclusive offers due to its cultural dimension: Fado (musical genre recognized by UNESCO ) and Portuguese Gastronomy, which includes the excellence of national wines.

    In 2019 we integrated one of the most famous fado houses in the Lisbon capital, the Clube de Fado.

    The ITB Fair will also be the stage for the presentation of the current products of cultural experiences, two of which will debut in 2020.

    It is actions like this that materialize the mission of the Fado & Food Group, to preserve and innovate on the legacy of historic fado houses in Lisbon.

    Recently opened the new Restaurant Menu of the oldest fado house in Lisbon, Café Luso.

    Inseparable in a fado house, the restaurant at Café Luso has earned its own place. It is a reason to visit when new gastronomic proposals are announced.

    In recent years he has ventured into modern languages ​​of making and presentation, but never forgetting its origins, national cuisine.

    With the new A La Carte, there is a rapprochement with the origins. This return allows us to revive the experience of the most traditional knowledge and flavors, desired by many Portuguese and visitors who want to know what we have most authentic.

    Every night, from 19:00, between what is eaten and listened, Tradition is fulfilled.

    The new menu of the Café Luso restaurant has the latest signature by Chef Aléxis Gregório. Because he died suddenly on January 10, he did not attend the launch.

    If there is more to discover, refer to “Bulhão Pato” Clams, Alheira Croquette, Roasted Pepper Mayonnaise, about soups, the indispensable “Caldo Verde” with Corn Bread and Chorizo, in Dishes, Fish, Sea Bass Fillets, Rice Tomato, Braised Cod and Octopus Rice, and Meat, Black Pork Loin, Asparagus Migas, Portuguese Steak.
